As Mount Rinjani stands ominously above Lombok; the elevated terrain makes it the perfect place to enjoy the many spectacular viewpoints across the island. Pack your camera and explore seven of Lombok’s most incredible views.

Mount Rinjani

The view does not get much better than from Indonesia’s second-highest volcano. If you are ready for a challenge, then hiking up the incredible Mount Rinjani might be for you. On the journey, swim in the beautiful Lake Segara with the backdrop featuring views across the island. Most trips take about two to three days; however some tours will extend the journey out over a longer timeframe to cater for a slower pace too.

Bukit Pergasingan

If you do not have enough time on your holiday to dedicate to Mount Rinjani, then Bukit Pergasingan is possibly the next best thing. The viewpoint sits 1,700 metres above sea level, with colourful fields stretching out below. Spend a night camping on the hill to wake up and watch the sunrise in the morning over the landscape. Mount Rinjani stands tall in the background, making it a picture-perfect location.

Tanjung Ringgit

Moving south, Tanjung Ringgit brings sweeping views across the coastline, with views of Mount Rinjani behind on land. Explore the many treks in the area, made up of greenery, coastal cliffs and marine life below, to keep you in awe of the natural surroundings.

Tanjung Poki

Tanjung Poki is made up of rock formations eroded by the ocean. Along the coastline, at high tide, numerous blowholes are formed, creating an impressive natural sight. Explore Tanjung Poki’s gorgeous scenery and spend some time watching the watching flow in and out, rushing up into the air.

Gunng Tunak National Park

Gunng Tunak National Park showcases incredible views across the island. Take on one of the many trails that will lead you on to aspects of cliffside lighthouses and viewing platforms showcasing scenery across the island.

Merese Hill

Merese Hill is a popular sunset location overlooking the coastline. Just a short 20-minute drive from Kuta, the sloping hill is the perfect place to pack a picnic and enjoy the sunset. Bukit Selong
