Whether it's surfing, outdoor adventure or local villages, Lombok has a choice of regions to explore. The island is a popular travel destination due to its variety of budget options; from luxury hotels to budget accommodation and everything else in between.

Starting in the south, Kuta is an incredibly scenic part of Lombok, home to rugged cliffs and incredible vantage points across the ocean. Tanjung is fast becoming a tourist destination set on a natural harbour and filled with resorts. While Mataram is far less popular with tourists, it is an excellent place for those wanting to visit mosques. The town also brings a taste of local life, with some restaurants as well as warungs and stalls.
